This was my first foreway into Austen-land, but it won’t be my last. P&P will be coming up sometime this year. I have to teach my daughter the world of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.

I love Austen less for her romantic storylines (although they’re good too), and more for her cynical social commentary, and I was up all night laughing the first time I read Sense & Sensibility.

Also, I’m a tad confused about where we’re supposed to be posting ongoing Dewey Decimal reviews, but I just wrote one for my 200-century book, Gleanings from Old Shaker Journals. It’s up over here.
