My vote is Pride and Prejudice. We were made to read that book for English Lit and it was surprisingly less painful than I thought it would be. Enjoyable even!

My fave Austen novel is Sense & Sensibility, closely followed by Pride & Prejudice. I love Austen less for her romantic storylines (although they're good too), and more for her cynical social commentary, and I was up all night laughing the first time I read Sense & Sensibility.

Also, I'm a tad confused about where we're supposed to be posting ongoing Dewey Decimal reviews, but I just wrote one for my 200-century book, Gleanings from Old Shaker Journals. It's up over here.
