I didn't like Autobiography of a Face at all, because I found the writing to be really amateur and therefore distracting. I'm wondering what you think of it, so I look forward to your review!

I haven't read any of those books, but I vote for A Confederacy of Dunces, because it's on my wishlist. :)

I'm eager to hear about the Houdini biography. Do the authors go into his background in depth? Is there much focus on his personal life, or do they concentrate most of the book on the showman and his astounding feats? Do they detail how Houdini pulled off these stunts? Obviously, I noticed that there are 2 authors...do either of them have a background in magic that they've brought to the table?

I have "Confederacy Of Dunces" and Jasper Fforde's books on my list of upcoming reads.

My question to you is why did you choose to add these two books to your to be read pile (reviews, recommendation, cover, etc)?
