It sat on my shelf for 2 years 1/5th read (only due to distraction when I was reading it originally) and it was fun to pick it up where I had left off. You’re certainly correct that Jamie manages to be the glue that brings the family together. He wasn’t my favorite character at first but it appears that he is the one that grew the most from the experience.

I read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time a couple of years ago. I then managed to obtain a copy of A Spot of Bother and just haven’t gotten around to reading it. I’ve been afraid that it wouldn’t be good. It appears that my fears were unfounded. I’ll have to move it up on the TBR pile.
